The VIA LÁCTEA glass suspension chandelier originates within the Astral Collection, crafted through a global search for glass domes, stacked and structured with LED lighting elements.

The Via Láctea Suspension (H 2.50m | ⌀ 22cm) is a composition of differently shaped cylindrical glasses with various textures. It was displayed at the Piloto Milano exhibition during Milan Design Week 2025.

Light and glass share a poetic interplay, much like the elegance of chandeliers—artful compositions that ignite imagination and evoke a quiet delight.

This design draws inspiration from the serendipity of flea markets, where forgotten glass domes await rediscovery. The concept embraces sustainability, repurposing existing pieces rather than generating new materials. The result is a sculptural lighting object composed through selection, layering, and juxtaposition of colors, textures, and forms.

The VIA LÁCTEA chandelier extends the ethos of the COLEÇÃO ASTRAL floor lamps, transforming the arrangement of individual glass domes into a suspended statement. Each piece is inherently unique, forming a series of ‘limited-edition unities’ through countless possible configurations.

Structurally, both lighting variations integrate three warm LED light lines spanning the entire form. A rigid metal tube provides support, while small acrylic discs ensure the integrity of the glass elements.

The COLEÇÃO ASTRAL stands firmly anchored by an inverted concrete base, whereas the VIA LÁCTEA chandelier exists purely in suspension—its scale and proportions adaptable to its environment. A testament to artistry through reuse, this collection embodies illumination as sculpture.
